\nI ventured out this evening with my daughter Genevieve, her 5 week old son Liam, and Cali her dog, to visit Alamo Square, home of the famous “Painted Ladies”. Unfortunately we missed the bright sunlight on these 6 famous houses and had to be content with a bracketed set of photos of these buildings to the East, with the Transamerica tower and downtown SF skyline only lit by the setting sun. You may recognize the “Ladies” as being the houses in the opening credits of “Full House”. While waiting for the sky to turn deep blue and the city lights to illuminate, I turned around to look up the hill, only to see a fantastic post sunset sky in the west. Genevieve kindly walked 50 yards to the top of the hill with dog and child, and I got some nice silhouettes with my 70-200 mm 2.8 lens.<\/p>\n

When the yellows had disappeared from the sky I turned around again and took a couple more cityscapes as the sky blue deepened and the lights finally came out.
